In the first game of a Tuesday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Brooklyn Nets will invade TD Garden to take on the Boston Celtics. The Nets (26-33) are looking to snap a four-game skid and lead Washington by four games for eighth place in the East. On Saturday, Brooklyn was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 116-113 road loss against Miami.

All five Brooklyn starters scored in double figures and were led by Spencer Dinwiddie with a game-high 25 points. Jarrett Allen added 17 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Nets.

The Boston Celtics have won 23 of their 29 home games and trail Toronto by a half-game for second place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Saturday, Boston failed to protect an 11-point halftime lead during a 111-110 overtime loss versus visiting Houston. The Celtics (41-18) outrebounded the Rockets by two and shot just 39 percent from the field in defeat.

All-Star F Jayson Tatum tallied a team-high 32 points to go along with 13 rebounds and five assists. Marcus Smart added 26 points and seven assists for the Celtics.

Boston G Kemba Walker has missed the last five games with a knee injury and hopes to suit up on Tuesday. These two teams rank in the top ten in the league in defensive efficiency. Look for this game to be tightly contested throughout and stay under the total. Final Score Prediction, Boston Celtics win in lower scoring under game 105-103.
