Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks 5/9/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Monday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Boston Celtics will battle the Milwaukee Bucks in Game Four of their best-of-seven series. On Saturday, Boston F/C Al Horford’s putback was ruled to have come just after the buzzer during a 103-101 road loss. The second-seeded Celtics (51-31) outscored the Bucks 34-23 in the fourth quarter and shot just 37 percent from the field.

Jaylen Brown led five Boston players in double figures with 27 points (10-11 FT) and 12 rebounds. Al Horford added 22 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists for the Celtics.

The Milwaukee Bucks are playing without All-Star G/F Khris Middleton (knee) and have won three of their first four home games this postseason. In Game Three, Milwaukee outscored Boston by 17 points in the third quarter and led by as many as 14 points. The Bucks (51-31) held a 52-32 scoring advantage in the paint and outrebounded the Celtics by a 53-47 margin.

All-Star F Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in a game-high 42 points to go along with 12 rebounds and eight assists. Jrue Holiday contributed 25 points and seven rebounds for the Bucks.

Boston G Marcus Smart (quad) returned to the lineup after missing Game Two and managed just nine points on 1-for-8 from the field. The Bucks lead the postseason in defensive efficiency, so the under is my lean on the total. The stronger play is on Boston to even this series with a road victory. Final Score Prediction, Boston Celtics win 108-100.
