Boston Celtics at Miami Heat 5/25/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat will take place on Wednesday night from the Ftx Arena. The second-seeded Celtics have won five of their first seven road games this postseason and are doing it with their defense. On Monday, Boston limited Miami to 11 points during the first quarter of a dominant 102-82 home victory.

Boston F Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 31 points on 8-for-16 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Derrick White chipped in 13 points and six assists for the Celtics.

The Miami Heat have won seven of their previous eight home games and rank fourth in the postseason in defensive efficiency. In Game Four, Miami trailed by 18 points after one quarter and fell behind by as many as 32 points. The top-seeded Heat were dominated on the glass by a 60-39 margin and missed 60 of their 90 field goal attempts.

Victor Oladipo tallied a team-high 23 points (7-16 FG) and six assists in 30 minutes off the Miami bench. The Heat starters combined for just 18 points on a woeful 7-for-36 from the field.

Boston G Marcus Smart (ankle) did not play in Monday’s victory and is listed as questionable for this game. The pace for this series has begun to slow down and both teams lean heavily on their defenses. I see this going seven games and I like Miami to win at home. Final Score Prediction, Miami Heat win 103-97.
