Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks 11/2/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The World’s Most Famous Arena will play host to a Wednesday night NBA clash between the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks. The Hawks (4-3) traded for G Dejounte Murray to provide some much needed perimeter defense and have improved nine spots from last season’s defensive efficiency ranking. On Monday, Atlanta was outscored in each quarter and turned the ball over 18 times during an ugly 139-109 road loss against Toronto.

Dejounte Murray led six Atlanta players in double figures with 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting and dished out nine assists. All-Star G Trae Young added 14 points and ten assists, but was harassed into ten turnovers by the Raptors.

The New York Knicks failed in their attempt for consecutive playoff appearances and have one of the deepest rosters in the league. On Sunday, New York was outscored by 22 points over the final 12 minutes of a disappointing 121-108 road loss against Cleveland. The Knicks (3-3) held a substantial 64-32 in points scored in the paint and shot 49 percent from the field.

Jalen Brunson and Evan Fournier led New York with 16 points apiece on a combined 14-for-28 from the field. Julius Randle added 15 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the Knicks. R.J. Barrett tallied 15 points (6-10 FG) and five rebounds in 33 minutes.

New York G/F Cam Reddish is dealing with an illness and is listed as questionable for this game. The Hawks have owned the Knicks since bouncing them in the playoffs two seasons ago. Look for Trae Young to put on show to lead Atlanta to a road victory. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Hawks win 118-110.
