The Las Vegas Aces (3-7) look for their third straight win as they take to the road to play the Dallas Wings (4-4) on Friday in a WNBA Western Conference tilt.
On Wednesday night, Las Vegas beat New York in its last outing 78-63 on New York’s home court. The Aces were led in scoring by Dearica Hamby with 17 points while Kayla McBride added 16. Rookie A’ja Wilson the team’s leading scorer chipped in with 13 points.
Dallas lost it last outing 75-72 to the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday night. Skylar Diggins-Smith scored 16 points for the Wings in the loss but was held 7 points below her 23 points per game average that leads the WNBA.
A’ja Wilson leads the Aces in scoring and rebounding averaging 21.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Kayla McBride (15.0 ppg) and Nia Coffey (11.8 ppg) are the only other players on the team averaging double figures in scoring. Lindsay Allen leads the Aces in assists with an average of 4.8 per game. The Aces are scoring an average of 81.0 points per game.
Skylar Diggins-Smith leads the Wings in scoring and assists averaging 22.1 points and 5.8 assists per game. Elizabeth Cambage is the second leading scorer and leading rebounder averaging 19.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. No other player on the Wings is averaging double figures in scoring besides Diggins-Smith and Cambage. The Wings are scoring an average 83.6 points per game.
