The Las Vegas Aces (3-9) visit the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday to play the Seattle Storm (8-3) in a WNBA Western Conference showdown.
The two teams have played twice this season with Seattle winning both. Las Vegas lost it last game 92-80 to the Phoenix Mercury. In the loss, A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 21 points.
The Storm won its second straight game on Friday night defeating the Connecticut Sun 103-92 Natasha Howard led the Storm with 25 points while Breanna Steward scored 23. Seattle is tied for second in the Western Conference just a half game behind first place Los Angeles.
A’ja Wilson leads Las Vegas in scoring and rebounding averaging 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Kayla McBride (16.2 ppg) and Nia Coffey (10.6 ppg) are the only other players on the team averaging double figures in scoring. Lindsay Allen leads the Aces in assists with an average of 4.3 per game. Las Vegas is scoring an average of 81.0 points per game.
Breanna Stewart leads Seattle in scoring and rebounding averaging 21.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Jewell Loyd is the second leading scorer averaging 18.3 points per game. Natasha Howard is the team’s third and final player averaging double figures in scoring at 15.0 points per game. Sue Bird leads the Storm in assists with an average of 5.9 per game. Seattle is scoring an average of 88.9 points per game.
