76ers at Raptors 1/22/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Wednesday NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Philadelphia 76ers will visit the Toronto Raptors. The 76ers (29-16) are riding a four-game winning streak and trail the Celtics by a half-game for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Monday, Philadelphia outscored Brooklyn by ten points during the second half of a 117-111 road victory.

Philadelphia G Ben Simmons scored a career-high 34 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Al Horford chipped in 19 points and six rebounds for the 76ers.

The Toronto Raptors have weathered a slew of injuries and are currently just a game behind Miami for second place in the East. On Monday, Toronto held on down the stretch to score a 122-117 road victory against Atlanta. The Raptors (29-14) forced 24 turnovers and converted 33 of their 43 free-throw attempts on the night.

Norman Powell led six Toronto players in double figures with 27 points in just 25 minutes off the bench. Pascal Siakam added 18 points and six rebounds for the Raptors, who have won four in a row.

Philadelphia C Joel Embiid (hand) has been cleared for non-contact work and will be re-evaluated in a week. These two teams rank in the top four in defensive efficiency, but with Embiid out the 76ers will play faster. Take the over on Wednesday. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win high scoring game 116-110.
