76ers at Nets 4/20/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 08/12/2019 at 9:17 PM ET

The Saturday NBA playoff schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets from Barclays Center. The third-seeded 76ers dropped the series opener at home, but have bounced back with consecutive victories. On Thursday, Philadelphia scored 30 plus points in each quarter of a 131-115 road victory. The 76ers converted 30 of their 35 free throw attempts and shot 48 percent from the field.

All-Star G Ben Simmons scored a career playoff high 31 points on an 11-for-13 shooting performance. Tobias Harris contributed 29 points and 16 rebounds for the 76ers. The Brooklyn Nets put together a breakthrough season for head coach Kenny Atkinson, but are being exposed defensively in this best-of-seven series. In Game Three, Brooklyn’s attempt to play small allowed for no rim protection and countless driving lanes for Ben Simmons. The Nets missed 31 of their 39 three-point attempts and shot just 41 percent overall.

Caris Levert and D’Angelo Russell scored 26 points apiece to lead the Nets. Spencer Dinwiddie added 15 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.

Philadelphia C Joel Embiid (knee) was unable to play in Game Three and is listed as day-to-day. These two squads rank in the top ten in tempo and the middle of the pack on defense, so the over is worth another look. The stronger play is on Brooklyn to secure a victory in a must win spot on Saturday. Final Score Prediction, Brooklyn Nets win and cover ATS 119-115.
