The Sunday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matinee between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks from Madison Square Garden.
The 76ers have dropped consecutive games and are still trying to make things work with a talented roster. On Friday, Philadelphia surrendered 69 points during the second half of a 123-121 home loss versus Atlanta. The 76ers were outrebounded by a 52-39 margin and allowed the Hawks to shoot 56 percent from the field.
Philadelphia G/F Jimmy Butler tallied a game high 30 points on a 9-for-19 shooting performance. Ben Simmons contributed 23 points and 15 rebounds for the 76ers.
The New York Knicks have won a league worst four games at home and have their sights set on the draft lottery. On Friday, New York fell behind by 12 points at halftime and never challenged in the second half of a 121-106 home loss versus Indiana. The Knicks turned the ball over 17 times and allowed the Pacers to shoot 52 percent overall.
Emmanuel Mudiay led seven New York players in double figures with 21 points. Damyean Dotson added 15 points and six rebounds in a losing effort for the Knicks.
