In four starts versus Boston, Tanaka was roughed up for 29 hits and 16 runs in just 19 innings. The Boston Red Sox won a major league best 57 home games during the regular season and are two wins away from advancing to the ALCS. On Friday, J.D. Martinez connected on a three-run shot in the first inning to get Boston going. Andrew Benintendi had two hits and scored twice for the Red Sox, who had eight hits as a team.

Thirty-three year old southpaw David Price (16-7 3.58 ERA) will look to exercise his postseason demons. Price has started nine playoff games and owns a dismal 2-8 record to go along with a 5.03 ERA.
