The White Sox are off Monday, but beat the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday 6-1 and have now won two of their last three games after losing six of seven. Daniel Palka and Adam Engel hit consecutive home runs as the White Sox scored three runs during the sixth inning to lead to their victory.
Minnesota won its third straight game on Sunday downing the Cleveland Indians 7-5 as Eddie Rosario hit three home runs including a walk-off two-run homer in the ninth. The Twins won three of four over first place Cleveland to cut their lead to 3 ½ games
Jose Abreu leads the White Sox with a .300 batting average and team high in hits with 65 and RBIs with 32. Tim Anderson leads the team in home runs with 11. Chicago has a team batting average of .245 while opposing hitters are averaging .259 at the plate against White Sox pitching. On Tuesday, Chicago will send Lucas Giolito to the mound.
