White Sox at Red Sox 6/10/18 - MLB Picks & Predictions

The Sunday MLB schedule will get underway with a matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox from Fenway Park. The White Sox shut out the Red Sox on Friday night and lost on Saturday by a 4-2 final score. Jose Abreu doubled in a run for Chicago, who committed three errors on the afternoon and fell to 20 games below .500 overall.

Talented twenty-four year old righty Reynaldo Lopez (1-4 3.42 ERA) will get the nod for the White Sox. In his last start, Lopez allowed just one hit over seven scoreless frames during a 4-2 loss at Minnesota. Boston slugger J.D. Martinez missed Friday night’s game with back tightness and returned Saturday to blast his major league leading 21st home run. Martinez’s two-run shot in the fifth inning put the Red Sox ahead for good. SP David Price (7-4) struck out six batters over six innings for Boston, who is in a virtual tie with New York for the AL East Division lead.

2016 Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello (8-2 3.59 ERA) will pitch for the Red Sox on Sunday. Porcello has won consecutive starts and has allowed four runs over his last 13 innings of work.

Boston 2B Dustin Pedroia (knee) will resume baseball activities this week and hopes to return later this month. Through 62 games, Chicago ranks 17th in batting average and 27th in runs scored. For the season, Boston ranks 1st in batting average and 1st in runs scored. Take the under on Sunday. Final Score Prediction, Boston Red Sox win low scoring game 3-1.
