Washington Nationals at Colorado Rockies 9/28/21 - MLB Picks & Predictions
On Tuesday night, the Colorado Rockies will take on the visiting Washington Nationals for their second game of the series. The Rockies (71-84) are sitting in fourth place in the NL West while they have a winning record of 46-32 playing at home. They’re a completely a different team playing away from home while they’re sitting at 25-52 on the road.
Rockies will be sending lefty Kyle Freeland to the mound. He’s coming off of a pretty decent start against a very talented Dodgers team allowing three runs, eight hits, striking out five batters and only allowing one walk in eight innings of work. Keep in mind his last start was also in Coors Field.
The Nationals (64-92) will be sending lefty Patrick Corbin to the mound. Corbin can be very hit or his. If his go to pitch slider is commanding very well he could cruise through his game. Overall, for the most part it hasn’t this season. He has a 9-15 record with a 5.92 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. He had a stellar outing last time out against the Reds giving up no runs, four hits, striking out seven batters, walking four in 6.2 innings of work.
Betting Trends for vs
I predict it’s safe to say that Corbin won’t have a repeat performance against the Rockies especially playing in Coors Field. They play way better at home and the ball carries a lot after contact playing there. The Nationals will drive some runs in but won’t be enough here. Score prediction: Final Score Prediction, Colorado Rockies win on the over 8-4.
