An interleague matchup will take place on Sunday, when the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles wrap up their weekend series from Camden Yards. The Nationals (45-52) have dropped 27 of their first 45 road games and have fallen 7.5 games off the pace in the NL East Division race. On Saturday, Washington SS Trea Turner drove in two runs during a 5-3 road loss.

Thirty-seven year old left-hander Jon Lester (3-4 4.99 ERA) will take the mound for the Nationals in this matchup. Last time out, Lester struck out seven batters across seven shutout frames during an 18-1 home victory versus Miami.

The Baltimore Orioles are a major league worst 15-30 at home and own the worst overall record in the American League. On Saturday, 1B Trey Mancini and DH Ryan Mountcastle each went deep to power the Baltimore offense. SP Matt Harvey (5-10) allowed just one hit over six shutout frames to earn the win for the Orioles (33-64).

The Orioles will give the nod to talented left-hander John Means (4-3 2.72 ERA) in the series finale. Baltimore has lost Means’ last five starts and he has given up 16 runs over his last 24 innings of work.

Washington OF Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) took batting practice on Friday and still is without a timetable to return. Through 97 games, Washington ranks 8th in OPS and 18th in runs scored. For the season, Baltimore ranks 24th in OPS and 24th in runs scored. Take the Orioles to win at home. Final Score Prediction, Baltimore Orioles 6-3.
