Twins at Yankees 4/24/18 - MLB Picks & Predictions

The New York Yankees are continuing their home-stand this week by hosting the Minnesota Twins. New York will be hosting this game inside of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York. Weather at first pitch is going to be sitting around 60 degrees and cloudy with a chance of rain. Minnesota and New York have both started off slow this season but we expect fireworks in Yankee Stadium for this game.

The New York Yankees will be trotting out left-handed veteran, CC Sabathia (0 - 0, 2.70 ERA). Sabathia has been solid this year but the aging lefty has been having trouble getting deep into games. Sabathia has only given up four total earned runs through his first three starts of the year. New York has the 5th ranked offense in the MLB and the addition of super prospect Gleybar Torres should help to keep the runs piling up for the Bronx Bombers. Minnesota will be starting their ace, Jose Berrios (2 - 1, 1.63 ERA). Berrios is fresh off of an electric start, going 7 IP while shutting out Cleveland. Berrios is quickly turning into one of the most thrilling young pitchers in the game but the righty will have his work cut out for him against New York. Minnesota's offense hasn't been completely tuned in yet this season and that could be problematic for the Twins. Minnesota is 25th in the MLB in runs scored this season and super slugger Miguel Sano is struggling big time at the plate.

This Twins team were hammered in series opener 14-1 but that makes the price tonight that much better on underdog Minnesota. This one is all about the starting pitching match-up edge by Twins young ace Jose Berrios. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Twins win at nice underdog price 3-1.
