New York scored a major league best 943 runs during the regular season and have the deepest lineup in baseball. D.J. LeMahieu led the Yankees with a .327 batting average and drove in 102 runs.
Thirty year old left-hander James Paxton (15-6 3.82 ERA) will make his first career postseason start. New York has won each of Paxton’s last 11 starts and he has allowed just 17 runs total over that stretch.
