The Thursday MLB schedule will get underway with an interleague clash between the Minnesota Twins and the Pittsburgh Pirates from PNC Park. Last night, OF Max Kepler crushed a three-run blast in the top of the ninth to lead Minnesota to a 5-2 road victory against Pittsburgh. SP Randy Dobnak (2-1) allowed three hits over six scoreless frames to earn the win for the Twins (10-2), who have won six straight.

Thirty-two year old righty Kenta Maeda (2-0 1.64 ERA) has gotten off to a nice start with his new club. Through 11 innings of work, Maeda has allowed just five hits and struck out 12 batters.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have lost the first three games of this series by a 17-9 combined score and are looking to snap a seven-game losing streak. On Wednesday, 1B Josh Bell hit a two-run shot in the ninth inning to give Pittsburgh their only offense. SP Trevor Williams (0-3) allowed just one run in seven innings and took the loss for the Pirates, who fell to a major league worst 2-10 on the season.

The Pirates will counter with twenty-six year old righty J.T. Brubaker (0-0 0.00 ERA) in the series  finale. The rookie has worked five career major league innings and has posted a 7:1 K/BB while giving up four hits.

Minnesota 3B Josh Donaldson (calf) traveled with the team for their seven-game road trip and is likely to return sometime this weekend. Through 12 games, Minnesota ranks 14th in OPS and 6th in runs scored. Pittsburgh comes into this game with an offense that ranks 28th in OPS and 21st in runs scored. Take the Twins on the run line. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Twins win and cover the run line 6-3.
