AL Central Division rivals will collide on Thursday afternoon, when the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians wrap up their series from Progressive Field. Last night, Robbie Grossman delivered a two-run single in the seventh inning to give the Twins a 4-3 victory. Eddie Rosario added three hits and scored a run for Minnesota, who is eight games below .500 overall.

Minnesota skipper Paul Molitor will turn to right-hander Jake Odorizzi (5-8 4.38 ERA) in this matchup. Through 137 plus innings, Odorizzi has fanned 140 batters and owns a 1.36 WHIP.
The Cleveland Indians took Tuesday’s series opener by an 8-1 margin and have run away with the race for the division title. On Wednesday, Cleveland’s bullpen woes continued as closer Cody Allen gave up the go ahead runs. Melky Cabrera had two hits and drove in a run for the Indians, who lead the Twins by 13 full games for first place.

Twenty-seven year old righty Mike Clevinger (9-7 3.30 ERA) will get the nod for the Indians on Thursday. Through 163 plus innings, Clevinger has struck out 163 batters and sports a solid 1.23 WHIP.

Cleveland SP Trevor Bauer (leg) threw off a mound on Monday and hopes to be back by late September. Through 132 games, Minnesota ranks 18th in batting average and 18th in runs scored. For the season, Cleveland ranks 4th in batting average and 3rd in runs scored. Take the under to cash again in the series finale. Final Score Prediction, Cleveland Indians win in lower scoring under game 4-2.
