The Toronto Blue Jays open a three-game series on the road Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Toronto is 83-65 following a 6-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. Marcus Semien hit his 40th home run of the season and the Blue Jays moved into second place in the American League wild-card chase one game behind the Boston Red Sox.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr is batting .318 to lead Toronto and the designated hitter has 46 home runs, 175 hits and an on-base percentage of .409 to lead Toronto in each category. Right fielder Teoscar Hernandez is the leader in RBIs with 106. On Monday, Toronto will send Robbie Ray to the mound. The left-hander is 12-5 with an ERA of 2.64, 233 Ks and 43 BBs.

Tampa Bay dropped to 4-3 following a 4-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Tampa Bay had a short two-game winning streak snapped with the loss but the Rays hold a comfortable 7 ½-game lead over the Boston Red Sox at the top of the American League East with only 13 games left to play in the regular season

Randy Arozarena is batting .270 to lead Tampa Bay and the left fielder has a team-high 132 hits. Second baseman Brandon Lowe 34 home runs to lead Tampa Bay and designated hitter Austin Meadows is the leader in RBIs with 100. On Monday, Tampa Bay will send Drew Rasmussen to the mound. The right-hander is 0-1 with an ERA of 4.24, 25 Ks and 12 BBs.

Toronto starting pitcher Robbie Ray was on the mound when the Blue Jays defeated Tampa Bay 6-3 last Wednesday and allowed just one run on four hits across seven Innings while striking out 13. Toronto is in a battle for one of the two American League wildcard spots and currently is second behind Boston and ahead of the New York Yankees. Tampa Bay has all but clinched the AL East and has had problems against Blue Jays starter Ray. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Blue Jays win 5-3.
