On Tuesday, the Texas Rangers open a three-game series on the road against the Oakland Athletics. Texas was off on Monday but improved to 3-5 following a 9-5 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Rangers. Willie Calhoun's sacrifice fly broke a tie in the seventh inning and Joey Gallo hit a three-run homer following Calhoun to blow open the game.
