Texas struggle immensely from the plate last game mount with only five hits on the day, while going 0-7 with runners in scoring position to leave three men on base. Adolis Garcia Provided the only lift to the Texas offense driving in the only run of the game.
Kolby Allard got the start for Texas giving up four runs on five hits including two home runs across 5.2 innings of work resulting in the loss. The Texas bullpen combined to only allow one hit and no runs over the final 2.1 innings to close out the game.
The Los Angeles Angels come into this game with a record at 68-68 following the two wins in this series. Jose Suarez got the start last game out for Los Angeles and carried the load for the full game giving up one run on five hits, while striking out eight batters in route to a complete game performance and the win.
Los Angeles didn't hit the ball well with only six hits in the game but relied on the long ball to lead the way. Perennial MVP candidate Shohei Ohtani lead the charge for the Los Angeles offense going 2-4 on the day including his 43rd home run of the year to drive in three of the four Los Angeles runs. Juan Lagares chipped in for Los Angeles with a solo home run in the third inning.
