Texas Rangers at LA Angels 9/19/20 - MLB Picks & Predictions

The Texas Rangers play the second game of a three-game series on the road Saturday against American League West rival the Los Angeles Angels. Texas fell to 18-32 following its 2-1 loss on Thursday to the Houston Astros. Texas has lost two of his last three and sits in last place in the AL West 13 games behind the first-place Oakland Athletics.

Third baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa is batting .305 to lead Texas and has team highs in hits with 53 and on-base percentage at .348. Center fielder Joey Gallo is leading Texas in home runs with nine and RBIs with 23. On Saturday, Los Angeles will send Lance Lynn to the mound. The right-hander is 6-2 with an ERA of 2.40, 79 Ks and 23 BBs.

Los Angeles is 21-30 following a 7-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. The Angels are in fourth place in the American League West 10 ½ games behind the first-place Oakland Athletics. The offense continues to power the Angels to victories and on Thursday Anthony Rendon belted a two-run homer and Mike Trout had a pair of RBIs in the victory for the Angels.

Third baseman David Fletcher is batting .314 to lead Los Angeles and has a team-high 53 hits. Center fielder Mike Trout is leading in home runs with 16 and RBIs with 42, while third baseman Anthony Rendon has a team-high .418 on-base percentage. On Saturday, Los Angeles will send Andrew Heaney to the mound. The left-hander 4-3 with an ERA of 4.02, 59 Ks and 16 BBs.

Both Texas and Los Angeles are playing poorly and will not make the postseason, but the Los Angeles offensive output at the plate will be sufficient enough to knock Texas ace Lance Lynn out of the game early and the Angels will go on to win. The Angels have won five of the last seven versus an opponent from the American League West. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Angels win 6-3.
