The Texas Rangers continue a road trip Tuesday night in Kansas City, MO for game two of three against the Kansas City Royals. Texas comes into Tuesday night three games below .500 following a 6-4 lost the Washington Nationals last game out. Glen Otto took the loss for Texas after allowing six runs on six hits across two innings of work.

Offensively Texas struggled from the plate with only eight hits in 33 at bats, while going 1-7 with runners in scoring position to leave seven men on base. Jonah Heim did the only damage for the Texas offense driving in three runs in the game.

The Kansas City Royals will continue a homestand Tuesday night as one of the worst teams in the American League 19 games below .500 after losing three of the last four games played including two in a row to the Oakland Athletics. Brady Singer got beat up on the mound by Oakland giving up five runs on seven hits across 8.1 innings of work leading to the loss.

Offensively Kansas City was terrible with only six hits in 31 at bats including 3-10 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base. Carlos Santana was the biggest spark in the Kansas City offense with two hits in three at bats to drive in two total runs.
