St. Louis Cardinals at Washington Nationals 7/29/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

The St Louis Cardinals open a three-game series on the road Friday against the Washington Nationals. St Louis is 52-47 following a 6-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Albert Pujols belted a three-run home run and had two other hits, helping to lead St Louis to the victory. First baseman Josh Bell is batting .302 to lead Washington and has team highs in RBIs with 53 and hits with 109. Right fielder Juan Soto is the leader in home runs with 20 and on-base percentage at .400. On Friday, the Washington Nationals will send Anibal Sanchez to the mound. While the UNDER is a solid choice, the play here is Washington. The Nationals have won eight of the last 10 head to head with the Cardinals. St Louis starter Miles Mikolas was hit very hard last time out, allowing six runs on seven hits across five innings in a 6-3 loss last Sunday to Cincinnati.
