The St. Louis Cardinals go back on the road Wednesday night for a game in Queens, NY against the New York Mets. The Cardinals come into Wednesday four games above .500 on the year riding a two game win streak after a blowout victory against the San Francisco Giants. St. Louis Scored 15 runs after going 17-41 as a team from the plate including 7-13 with runners in scoring position. Yadier Molina Led the way for the Cardinals offense driving in four runs with two home runs in the game.

Paul Goldschmidt is the offensive leader for St. Louis with a .312 batting average to go along with a team high 39 hits. Nolan Arenado supplies the Cardinals power with a team leading eight home runs to go along with a team high 29 RBI’s.

The New York Mets will continue a long homestand Wednesday night 10 games above .500 following a loss to the Seattle Mariners. Carlos Carrasco got to start for New York giving up four runs on eight hits across 4.1 innings of work leading to a no decision. Chasen Shreve came on in relief allowing two runs on two hits leading to the loss.

Offensively New York struggled from the plate with only nine hits in 35 at bats as a team including an abysmal 4-10 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base. Brandon Nimmo had one of the best games of his season with two hits and five at bats to drive in three of the seven New York runs.

The Mets  are playing the better baseball as of late and will have all the advantages in this game period look for New York to lean on their home crowd as the better team will control the game for the full 9 innings on Wednesday.
