American Family Field will host game three of three Sunday afternoon between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals are 69-64 On the year after winning 3 of their last five games including game one of this series. St. Louis put on an offensive display against Milwaukee with twelve hits on the day. Yadier Molina led the way for St. Louis going 1-4 on the day to drive in four runs and score two. Nolan Arenado Chipped in with two home runs and three RBI's as well.
Adam Wainwright got the start for St. Louis against Milwaukee giving up two runs on four hits across 6.1 innings of work leading to the win. The Cardinals bullpen completed the final 2.2 innings of the game allowing two runs on five hits to seal the victory.
Freddy Peralta got the start in game one of this series from a walkie giving up four runs on three hits in two innings resulting in the loss. The Milwaukee bullpen trotted out four different pitchers allowing eleven total runs on nine hits including five home runs to finish the game.
The Milwaukee offense struggled from the plate with only nine hits on the day including 3-9 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base. Rowdy Tellez led the way for the Milwaukee offense with two RBIs on the day despite not having a hit.
