The San Francisco Giants will travel to San Diego, CA Monday for game one of the final series of the season. The San Diego Padres will finish the regular season at home as they come into Monday 15 games over .500 having secured a wild card berth after a win against the White Sox. Mike Clevinger got the win for San Diego giving up one run on three hits across 6 innings in the game period the San Diego bullpen was lights out as well allowing only one run on three hits over the final three innings.

Offensively San Diego did just enough with nine hits in 32 at bats including one hit with runners in scoring position. Jake Cronenworth led the way for the San Diego offense with a two run home run in the sixth inning, while Manny Machado chipped in a solo home run in the seventh as well.

San Diego has already secured a playoff spot but will look to continue to play well Monday night. Look for San Diego to control this game against an already eliminated SF team.
