The San Francisco Giants play the second game of a three-game series on the road Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco dropped to 99-54 following a 7-6 loss to the San Diego Padres on Thursday. Nevertheless, the Giants remain in first place in the National League West but have had their lead trimmed to just one game over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Shortstop Brandon Crawford is batting .298 to lead San Francisco and has team highs in RBIs with 83, hits with 134 and on-base percentage at.373. Brandon Belt is the leader in home runs with 26. On Saturday, the San Francisco Giants will send Anthony DeSclafani to the mound. The right-hander is 12-7 with an ERA of 3.23, 146 Ks and 41 BBs.

Colorado is 71-81 following a 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. The Rockies have lost three of the last four and are fourth in the National League West 27 ½ games behind the front running Giants. Colorado's pitching has been its weak link this season as the Rockies have a 4.75 ERA that is 24th in baseball.

First baseman C. J. Cron is batting .279 with 27 home runs, 86 RBIs and an on-base percentage of .373 to lead Colorado in each category. Right fielder Charlie Blackmon is the leader in hits with 130. On Saturday, the Colorado Rockies will send Jon Gray to the mound. The right-hander is 8-11 with an ERA of 4.17, 145 Ks and 58 BBs.

Colorado will play spoiler and defeat San Francisco at home on Saturday, but the play here is OVER. The OVER has cashed in seven of the last eight games that these two National League West rivals have played in Colorado and in nine of the last 13 overall between the two. San Francisco is sixth in baseball in runs scored and Colorado is 12th and both are in the top eight in baseball for team batting average. Final Score Prediction, Colorado Rockies win but our best play is OVER 9-5.
