Giants vs Rockies Picks and Prediction – 6/8/2023

The San Francisco Giants continue a road trip Wednesday night with game two of three in Colorado against the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco comes into Wednesdays game one game below .500 after losing three of the last four following a five run loss to Baltimore in their last game. Anthony DeSclafani got the start for San Francisco giving up six runs on five hits across 3 innings leading to the loss. The San Francisco bullpen struggled as well allowing two more runs on five hits over the final six innings of the game. 

Offensively San Francisco was terrible with just five hits in 31 at bats including none with runners in scoring position to leave four men on base. Blake Sabol led the way for the San Francisco offense with one hit and two at bats including a two run home run in the sixth inning. Wilmer Flores added into the San Francisco lineup driving in the third run of the game.

The Colorado Rockies return home Wednesday nine games below .500 following a two run loss to the Kansas City Royals. Kyle Freeland got the start for Colorado giving up two runs on four hits across 7 innings resulting in the loss. The Colorado bullpen was much better however allowing no runs on no hits over the final three out of the loss.

Offensively Colorado was terrible with just eight hits in 35 at bats including none with runners in scoring position to leave all eight men on base. Elias Diaz leads the way for the Colorado offense this season carrying a .309 batting average to go along with a team high 56 hits. Ryan McMahon has supplied the power for Colorado leading the team with nine hits and 34 RBI 's.
