San Francisco Giants at Atlanta Braves 6/23/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

In Thursday afternoon MLB action, the San Francisco Giants and the Atlanta Braves will wrap up their series from Truist Park. The Giants (38-30) are three games above .500 on the road and 4.5 games behind the NL West Division leaders. Last night, Darin Ruf and Mike Yastrzemski each went deep for San Francisco during a 4-3 road loss.  

Thirty-one year old lefty Alex Wood (5-5 4.32 ERA) will take the mound for the Giants in this matchup. San Francisco has won Wood’s last three starts and he has given up seven runs over his last 18 plus frames.

The Atlanta Braves have won seven of their previous ten games and trail NL East Division leading New York by 4.5 games. During Wednesday’s home victory, Atlanta erased a 3-1 deficit entering the ninth inning. Dansby Swanson started things with a solo shot and Adam Duval walked it off with a run scoring single for the Braves (40-30).

The Braves will counter with twenty-six year old righty Kyle Wright (7-4 2.94 ERA) on Thursday. In his last start, Wright was rocked for 11 hits and five runs during a 6-3 road loss against Chicago.
