Last Updated: 09/25/2022 at 10:47 AM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks host the San Francisco Giants for the final game of a three-game series Sept. 25. Arizona leads the season series 8-6 after the Giants won 6-5 on Friday.

San Francisco is 74-77 overall and 35-41 on the road straight up. Against the run line, they are 71-80 overall and 40-36 on the road. Arizona is 70-82 overall and 39-40 at home but is 88-64 against the run line overall and 43-36 at home.

Jakob Junis is scheduled to start for San Francisco. He is 4-6 with a 4.41 ERA over 102 innings. Junis has allowed 108 hits, walked 22 and struck out 87. He has a 5.71 ERA over 52 IP since the All-Star break.

Diamondbacks right-hander Drey Jameson is set to make his third start for Arizona. Jameson is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA over 13 innings. He has allowed nine hits, walked two and struck out 12.

Among qualified hitters, Thairo Estrada leads the Giants with a .265 batting average and .325 on-base percentage. Joc Pederson leads the club with 22 HRs, and Wilmer Flores is tops with 69 RBI.

Jake McCarthy has hit .309 with a .378 OBP since the All-Star break. He has also stolen 17 passes and hit five home runs over that time. Christian Walker has hit .279 with 14 HRs and an .843 OPS in the second half of the season.

Jameson started the year in Double-A but was quickly promoted to Triple-A and has shined in two games since being called up. Junis has been knocked around quite a bit lately, and pitching at Arizona won’t be easy. We like the rookie to hold Giants hitters at bay and Arizona to get the wind. Final Score Prediction: Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3.
