The San Diego Padres continue a road trip Tuesday night as they travel to San Francisco,CA for game two of three against the San Francisco Giants. The San Diego Padres come into Tuesday 11 games over .500 struggling as of late after losing three of the last five games played including a 15-7 blowout loss against the Kansas City Royals. Wil Meyers got the start for San Diego giving up no runs on one hit after recording only two outs leading to a no decision. The San Diego bullpen was abysmal as well allowing nine more runs on five hits over the final 3.1 innings of the game.

Offensively San Diego hit the ball well going 10-38 as a team but went in abysmal 2-9 with runners in scoring position to leave 10 men on base. Manny Machado continued to carry the team with four hits in five at bats including two home runs to drive in four total runs. Juan Soto chipped in as well with a two run home run in the seventh inning.

The San Francisco Giants return home Tuesday playing some of their worst baseball of the season riding a four-game losing streak after an 8-3 last to the Minnesota Twins. Jakob Junis got rocked on the mound for San Francisco giving up six runs on nine hits across 4.1 innings of work leading to the loss. The San Francisco bullpen struggled as well allowing two more runs on two hits over the final 3.2 innings of the game.

Offensively San Francisco struggled from the plate with only ten hits in 36 at bats including 2-11 with runners in scoring position to leave 10 men on base. Wilmer Flores, Brandon Crawford, and Lamonte Wade Jr. were the only bright spots in the SF lineup driving in one run each.

The San Diego Padres have struggled as of late and are barely hanging onto a playoff spot. San Diego needs to get back on track immediately if they will make the postseason.
