The MLB Wild Card round will conclude with a battle between the San Diego Padres and the New York Mets from Citi Field. The fifth-seeded Padres (89-73) finished nine games above .500 on the road and defeated Max Scherzer in the series opener. Last night, San Diego went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position and left ten men on base during a 7-3 road loss against New York. 

All-Star righty Joe Musgrove (10-7 2.93 ERA) will take the mound for the Padres in this game. Last time out, Musgrove fired six shutout frames and struck out seven batters during a 7-4 home victory versus San Francisco.

The New York Mets won 54 of their 81 home game during the regular season and have not won a playoff series since 2015. On Saturday, All-Star 2B Jeff McNeil delivered a two-run double in the seventh inning to put the game out of reach.
