In Thursday afternoon MLB action, the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies will wrap up their series from Coors Field. The Padres (50-40) are seven games above .500 on the road and trail NL West Division leading Los Angeles by 8.5 games. Last night, San Diego 2B Jake Cronenworth homered and scored three runs during a 10-6 road loss.

Twenty-nine year old southpaw Blake Snell (1-5 4.66 ERA) has scuffled through the first half of the season. Control continues to be the issue for Snell, who has issued 25 walks through 46 plus innings.

The Colorado Rockies are three games above .500 at home and have fallen 18 games off the pace in the NL West Division race.
