Twenty-eight year old southpaw Tyler Anderson (3-1 5.07 ERA) will take the mound for the Rockies in this matchup. Colorado has lost each of Anderson’s last three starts and he has given up 13 runs over his last 16 plus frames.
The Cincinnati Reds have dropped 41 of their first 62 games and own the worst record in the National League. The Reds are looking to snap a four-game skid and have allowed 15 runs through the first two games of this series. On Wednesday, Scooter Gennett collected a pair of RBIs and leads the club with 44 on the season.
The Reds will turn to twenty-three year old righty Tyler Mahle (4-6 4.38 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Mahle tossed five scoreless innings and struck out five batters during a 7-2 victory at San Diego.
