Two postseason hopefuls will battle on Saturday afternoon, when the Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves wrap up their weekend series from SunTrust Park. Last night, the Rockies stunned the Braves by scoring three runs in the ninth inning and go on for a 5-3 victory in ten innings. D.J. LeMahieu hit the go ahead homer for Colorado, who trails Arizona by a full game for the NL West Division lead.

Twenty-three year old righty German Marquez (10-9 4.51 ERA) will take the mound for the Rockies in this matchup. In his last start, Marquez allowed just three hits and one run during a 5-1 victory at Houston. The Atlanta Braves have lost three straight games versus Colorado and have been outscored by a 21-11 combined score. On Saturday, A.J. Minter allowed four hits and three runs, while blowing the save for the Braves. Ronald Acuna Jr. collected three hits and scored twice for the Braves, who remain a half-game in front of Philadelphia for the NL East Division lead.

The Braves will counter with veteran right-hander Anibal Sanchez (6-3 3.07 ERA) in the series finale. Through 91 innings, Sanchez has fanned 90 batters and owns a solid 1.09 WHIP.

Atlanta RP Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder) is scheduled to resume throwing on Wednesday. Through 123 games, Colorado ranks 9th in batting average and 10th in runs scored.
