The Detroit Tigers were expected to occupy the cellar in the AL Central Division, but have won five of their first eight games. Rookie right-hander Rony Garcia (0-0 6.00 ERA) will head to the hill for the Tigers in this matchup. In his first career major league outing, Garcia gave up three runs (two earned) in three innings during a 4-3 home victory versus Kansas City.
