The Reds were off Thursday after defeating Arizona on Wednesday 7-4. Adam Duvall belted a grand slam to tie the game for the Reds while Scott Schebler’s two-run home run broke a tie in the sixth giving for the Reds.
The Padres won their third straight game on Thursday defeating the Miami Marlins 8-3 to win three of four at home against the Marlins. Christian Villanueva homered and Jordan Lyles pitched a strong seven innings to lead the Padres to victory.
Scooter Gennett leads Cincinnati with a .343 batting average, and a team high 71 hits and 10 home runs. Eugenio Suarez leads the team in RBIs with 43.
