Red Sox at Yankees 8/1/20 - MLB Picks & Predictions

The Boston Red Sox play the second game of a three-game series on the road against American League East rival the New York Yankees on Saturday. Boston improved to 3-4 following a 4-2 victory over the New York Mets on Thursday. The New York Yankees improved to an AL East-leading 4-1 following an 8-6 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. The victory gave the Yankees a sweep of a short, rescheduled two-game series. Aaron Judge belted a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning after the Yankees had blown an early lead of five runs. New York has won three straight.

Giancarlo Stanton is leading the Yankees in batting with an average .500,  in home runs with 2, RBIs with 6 and hits with eight.  Luke Voit and Aaron Judge are also tied for the home run lead with two each. On Saturday, the Yankees will send  Masahiro Tanaka to the mound. The veteran right-hander will be making his first start of the regular season for New York.
