The ALDS will shift to the Bronx for Game Three between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees on Monday night. The Red Sox took the series opener by a run, but could not keep the momentum going during a 6-2 loss on Saturday night. SP David Price was taken out after allowing three runs and recording just five outs. Xander Bogaerts connected on a solo shot in a losing effort for the Red Sox.

2016 Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello (17-7 4.28 ERA) will get the nod for the Red Sox in Game Three. In four starts versus New York this season, Porcello was 2-0 and allowed just six runs over 23 plus frames.
The New York Yankees were 25 games above .500 at home this season and have won seven straight postseason games at Yankee Stadium. In Game Two, New York flexed their muscle early with Aaron Judge’s first inning solo shot. Gary Sanchez blasted two home runs and drove in four runs to power the Yankees. SP Masahiro Tanaka allowed one run over five frames to earn the victory.

Hard-throwing righty Luis Severino (19-8 3.39 ERA) will head to the hill for the Yankees on Monday. In the AL Wild Card game, Severino struck out seven batters and allowed two hits in four innings during a 7-2 victory versus Oakland.

New York OF Aaron Hicks’ MRI on his injured right hamstring came back clean and he did not start in Game Two. Through 162 games, Boston ranked 1st in batting average and 1st in runs scored. For the season, New York ranked 16th in batting average and 2nd in runs scored. Look for New York to win a game that will soar over the total. Final Score Prediction, New York Yankees win high scoring game 7-5.
