AL East Division rivals will clash on Friday night, when the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles open up a weekend series from Camden Yards. Last night, Boston had their six-game winning streak snapped during an 8-5 loss at Toronto. J.D. Martinez blasted his major league leading 35th home run in a losing effort for the Red Sox, who lead New York by eight games for the division lead.

Hard-throwing righty Nathan Eovaldi (5-4 3.38 ERA) will make his third start as a member of the Red Sox. Eovaldi, who was traded from Tampa Bay, has not allowed a run in his first 15 innings of work with Boston. The Baltimore Orioles have been one of the worst teams in the majors all season long and are a lock to lose 100 plus games. On Thursday, Baltimore dropped the rubber game of their series in Tampa Bay by a 5-4 final score. Joey Rickard had two hits and score twice for the Orioles, who fell to 34 games below .500 overall.

Baltimore skipper Buck Showalter will give the nod to talented righty Dylan Bundy (7-10 4.38 ERA) in the series opener. Through 121 plus innings, Bundy has fanned 129 batters and owns a 1.27 WHIP.

Boston 2B Ian Kinsler is currently on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain. Through 116 games, Boston ranks 1st in batting average and 1st in runs scored. For the season, Baltimore ranks 27th in batting average and 25th in runs scored. Take Baltimore to keep things close on Friday behind Bundy. Final Score Prediction, Boston Red Sox win but can't cover the run line 5-4.
