The Tuesday MLB schedule will get underway with a battle between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Minnesota Twins from Target Field. Last night, Pittsburgh raced out to a four-run lead after five innings before falling by a 5-4 final score. OF Cole Tucker led off the game with a home run for the Pirates, who fell to 2-8 on the season.

Twenty-seven year old righty Joe Musgrove (0-2 4.76 ERA) will take the mound for the Pirates in this matchup. Through 11 plus innings, Musgrove has surrendered four home runs and struck out 15 batters.

The Minnesota Twins are riding a four-game winning streak and are tied with the Chicago Cubs for the second best record in the majors. Veteran DH Nelson Cruz singled in the game-winning run for the Twins, who moved to 8-2 on the year.

Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli will give the nod to veteran southpaw Rich Hill (1-0 0.00 ERA) on Tuesday. In his first start, Hill tossed five strong innings and allowed just two hits during a 3-0 victory versus St. Louis.

Pittsburgh SP Mitch Killer has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain. Through ten games, Pittsburgh ranks 29th in OPS and 20th in runs scored. Minnesota counters with an offense that ranks 14th in OPS and 10th in runs scored. Take the under on Tuesday. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Twins win and cover the run line 5-2.
