In the first game of a Monday night ESPN doubleheader, the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox will open up a series from Fenway Park. The Phillies have lost three straight games and continue to lead Atlanta by 1.5 games for the NL East Division lead. On Sunday, Philadelphia managed eight hits during a 4-0 loss at Cincinnati.

Twenty-five year old righty Aaron Nola (12-3 2.42 ERA) will make his 22nd start of the year for the Phillies. Nola represented Philadelphia in the All-Star Game and ranks third in the National League with a 0.99 WHIP. While the Phillies have been struggling, the Boston Red Sox come into this series having won three straight games. On Sunday, newly acquired SP Nathan Eovaldi tossed seven scoreless innings during a 3-0 victory versus Minnesota. J.D. Martinez drove in all three runs for the Red Sox, who lead New York by 5.5 games for the AL East Division lead.

The Red Sox will turn to veteran southpaw David Price (11-6 4.17 ERA) in the series opener. Price has won consecutive starts, while allowing three runs and striking out 13 batters over 13 innings of work.

Boston 3B Rafael Devers is likely headed to the 10-day disabled list with a hamstring injury. Through 107 games, Pittsburgh ranks 10th in batting average and 11th in runs scored. For the season, Boston ranks 1st in batting average and 1st in runs scored. Take Philadelphia to snap their recent skid with a win on Monday. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Phillies win 5-3.
