NL East Division rivals will square off on Sunday afternoon, when the Philadelphia Phillies and the Washington Nationals conclude their weekend series from the nation’s capital. The Phillies (26-32) have dropped 22 of their first 34 road games and are 7.5 games off the pace in the division race. On Saturday, C J.T. Realmuto hit a go-ahead solo shot in the sixth inning to lift Philadelphia to a 4-2 road victory.

Twenty-seven year old lefty Ranger Suarez (0-2 7.13 ERA) will make his fifth start of the season for the Phillies. Last time out, Suarez gave up two runs in six plus innings during a 2-0 road loss against New York. 

The Washington Nationals are six games below .500 at home and are trying to climb out of the division cellar. On Saturday, Washington SP MacKenzie Gore (3-4) gave up three runs in six innings and took the loss. DH Joey Meneses and 1B Dominic Smith each scored a run for the Nationals, who fell to 25-33 overall.

The Nationals will counter with thirty-one year old righty Trevor Williams (2-3 3.93 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Williams was tagged for six runs in five innings during a 6-1 road loss against Los Angeles.

Philadelphia 3B Alec Bohm has landed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. Through 58 games, Philadelphia ranks 15th in OPS and 23rd in runs scored.
