Yankee Stadium will play host to a Wednesday afternoon matchup between the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. The Orioles completed a fire sale at yesterday’s trade deadline and put together a much different look lineup during a 6-3 loss to the Yankees. Jace Peterson doubled in two runs and scored the other run for Baltimore, who lost their major league worst 75th game.

Thirty year old righty Alex Cobb (2-14 6.08 ERA) will take the mound for the Orioles in this matchup. Cobb has lost five straight starts and has given up 14 runs over his last 29 innings of work. The New York Yankees were active at the trade deadline and acquired much needed pitching help. On Tuesday, SP Masahiro Tanaka struck out eight batters across six scoreless frames to pick up the win. Miguel Andujar connected on his 13th home run of the season for the Yankees, who trail Boston by five games for first place in the AL East.

Twenty-eight year old righty Sonny Gray (8-7 5.08 ERA) has been inconsistent in his second season with the Yankees. Gray is riding a three-start winning streak and has allowed just two runs over his last 16 plus frames.

New York OF Aaron Judge is currently on the 10-day disabled list with a right wrist fracture. Through 107 games, Baltimore ranks 28th in batting average and 27th in runs scored. For the season, New York ranks 7th in batting average and 3rd in runs scored. Look for this game to stay under the total on Wednesday. Final Score Prediction, New York Yankees win in under game 4-2.
