The Oakland Athletics will visit T-Mobile Park Friday night for game two of four against the Seattle Mariners. Oakland is coming into this game riding a two-game win streak after a 6-0 win against the Los Angeles Angels last game out. James Kaprielian got the start for Oakland giving up no runs on five hits, while striking out seven batters across six complete innings in route to the win. The Oakland bullpen combined for three complete innings giving up no runs and no hits to close the game.

Oakland went 8-30 from the plate as a team but shined in big situations going 3-5 with runners in scoring position, while leaving four men on base. All Star Matt Olson led the way for Oakland going 2-3 on the day, while driving in two runs including a solo home run in the fourth inning.

The Seattle Mariners are six games above .500 with a 51-45 overall record after winning three of the last five games played. Keynan Middleton got the start for Colorado against Los Angeles giving up five runs on five hits in only one any work resulting in the loss. The Seattle bullpen combined for the final seven innings of the game giving up one run on one hit.

Offensively Seattle was abysmal in the game going 5-31 from the plate, while leaving two men on base  and never had a runner in scoring position. Kyle Seager, Mitch Haniger, and Luis Torrens led the way for the Seattle offense as each player hit a solo home run.

Both teams are playing well as of late but the Athletics will have the pitching edge to go along with the better lineup. Look for Oakland to control this game as they push for a postseason birth. Montas will control the Mariners bats as his lineup hangs runs in route to a win. Final Score Prediction, Oakland Athletics win 5-2.
