PNC Park will play host to a Tuesday night MLB matchup between the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates. Last night, Asdrubal Cabrera homered and drove in five runs to power Washington to a 13-0 road triumph against Pittsburgh. Juan Soto had four hits and scored four runs for the Nationals, who lead the NL Wild Card race.

Thirty-one year old righty Stephen Strasburg (15-5 3.82 ERA) has been a road warrior in his career with the Nationals. Through 158 innings, Strasburg has fanned 185 batters and ranks 7th in the National League with a 1.09 WHIP.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have won just seven games since the All-Star Break and are ten games below .500 at home this season. On Tuesday, SP Trevor Williams was rocked for eight runs (six earned) and recorded just six outs. The Pirates managed a measly four hits and struck out four times on the evening.

Thirty year old right-hander Chris Archer (3-9 5.23 ERA) has not made a positive impact on the Pirates since being acquired at last season’s trade deadline. Pittsburgh has lost each of Archer’s last seven starts and he has given up 23 runs over that stretch.

Washington 2B Brian Dozier has been placed on paternity leave and will miss the first couple of games of this series. Through 124 games, Washington ranks 7th in OPS and 9th in runs scored. For the season, Pittsburgh ranks 20th in OPS and 21st in runs scored. Take the under on Tuesday. Final Score Prediction, Washington Nationals win 4-2.
