The Braves are in the middle of the pennant race and are looking to bring home some wins to help them shore up the lead they have over the Phillies. The Nationals are the team that is looking to play the role of spoiler on the year and that could be something the Nationals are definitely able to do as they have been playing some great games recently and that includes a victory over Philadelphia recently 5-1.

Anthony Rendon is the hitter who has been able to do decent for the Nationals when it comes to average at an average of .298. Bryce Harper is the hitter who has been the power thrill for the Nationals. Harper has managed to hit a total of 33 homers and driven in 94 runs, but he is hitting only at a clip of .249.

Freddie Freeman is the Braves hitting threat for average with an average of .307. The power for the Braves has come at the hands of Ronald Acuna Jr. who has managed to hit a total of 25 homers. When it comes to the run production you will notice it has mainly been done by Nick Markakis who has driven in 88 runs.
Max Scherzer is the pitcher the Nationals are going to send to the mound in this game. On the year Scherzer has not had any issues as he only has a total of 202.2 innings pitched and has struck out 271 batters, but has posted a 17-6 record with a 2.31 ERA.

The Braves are turning to Kevin Gausman who has managed to get 166.2 innings pitched with a total of 134 strikeouts while posting a 9-10 record and has ended up getting an ERA of 3.89.

The Braves are in the middle of the pennant race and need to get some of the strong wins and overcoming the Nationals would be a great thing. What will make the difference for the Braves is the fact they are going to be able to get to the Nationals bullpen. Once this happens the Braves will take control over the game. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Braves win 6-4.
