MLB Spring Training -Saturday 3/7/20 - Best Bets, Odds, Picks, & Predictions

There are 18 games on the slate for Saturday, with 8 games being split squad.  Let's take a look and see which 3 games you should take a look at for your plays for Saturday.

New York Yankees (8-4) @ Pittsburgh Pirates (3-11)

The Pirates have not had a good spring to this point, however Pittsburgh did just beat Toronto.  In the win over Toronto, the Pirates scored an absurd 19 runs.  Pittsburgh has not had a great offense to this point, having just scored a total of 50 runs.  The Yankees have had no trouble scoring runs recently, having scored 35 runs in the last 5 games.  The Yankees do have a game in progress against Baltimore.  I'm going to side with the Yankees, as Pittsburgh hasn't done much on offense this spring and may have saved ay runs for this game.

New York Yankees ML -155

Chicago White Sox (7-5) @ San Francisco Giants (6-7)

The White Sox play at the Giants in this one, as each team has gone in opposite directions in their last 5 games.  The White Sox are winners of 3 straight, while the Giants are 0-3-1 in their last 4 games.  Chicago has seen some of their investment returns for trades in the last few years start to pop up in their spring training.  The White Sox have a solid veteran core that mixes nicely with the young talent.  This mixture blends together well, especially for spring training games.   The White Sox have scored 17 runs in their last 3 games, while the Giants have scored 6 runs in their last 3.  I'm taking the White Sox as an underdog.

Chicago White Sox ML +105

San Diego Padres (10-2) @ Arizona Diamondbacks (3-9) Split Squad

This game comes down to the split squad.  Arizona has not looked good thus far, but as I have said things should change as the regular season gets here.  The Diamondbacks are allowing some of their younger players to get playing time and with this being a split squad, the talent will be sprinkled throughout both games.  The Padres have done the complete opposite to this point.  I'll take the Padres in this, as San Diego is atop the Cactus Leagues, while Arizona is at the bottom.
