MLBBest Player Props for Saturday – 4/1/23

Spencer Strider, Braves, OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-125)

Matt Olson, Braves, OVER 0.5 RBI (+105)

Spencer Strider at Washington Nationals at 4:05 p.m. ET

Strider was phenomenal last season, finishing second to teammate Michael Harris in the Rookie of the Year voting. The 24-year-old right-hander struck out 202 batters in 131.2 innings pitched.

While Strider’s overall results against the Nationals were not great (1-1, 5.41 ERA), he did record 18 strikeouts in 13 IP against them. Washington batters hit just .192 against himin 26 at bats.

Pick: Spencer Strider OVER 6.5 strikeouts

Matt Olson at Washington Nationals at 4:05 p.m. ET

Olson did a lot of his damage when facing right-handers last season, hitting 27 of his 34 home runs and driving in 67 runs against them. His OPS against right-handed pitchers was .824 compared to .749 vs. left-handers.

In three at bats against Washington starter Josiah Gray, Olson has one hit: a HR. Even if he doesn’t belt a homer off Gray again, we like his chances of driving in a run.

Pick: Matt Olson OVER 0.5 RBI
